Landings are hard. You know this if you've done any amount of pattern work in your training. It's not a natural skill we humans have to take a ton or more of a flying tin can and place it on a piece of pavement.
Like anything, landing is about skill and it's about understanding. This course will provide all the understanding I've tried to engender in my students over the years so that they think about landings the right way. Once you've gone through this course, you'll have a number of 'a-ha' moments that will help you see the bigger picture of what's involved in getting your plane on the ground safely.

A Perfect Way to Compliment Private Pilot Ground School
Ground schools like our Private Pilot Course are a great way to gain the knowledge you'll need for the FAA exam and checkride, but they don't get specific on "how" to fly. This is typically left to your in flight instruction with your CFI. This course, however, brings you into the cockpit to give you the same tips and tricks you'll learn up in the air. It's worth at least a dozen hours of time in the traffic pattern!
Your Instructor
Dan George is a Certified Flight Instructor based in Maryland. He has accumulated over 4,000 flight hours, mostly through instructing students. He has guided dozens of pilots through the challenging process of attaining their Private or advanced ratings. Dan serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland, teaching Aviation in the Aerospace Engineering Department. He is an instrument rated Commercial Pilot with Single and Multiengine Land ratings, and is an FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor and Instrument Instructor.
